Harvest time is the perfect time to head to scenic Adams County, Pennsylvania, with all its leaf-peeping glory, artistically abundant landscapes, and farm-fresh crops in full bloom. Consider those favored featured fall follies, all of which are ongoing this time of year, with contested quintessential classics returning to the scene along with new opportunities alike.
On that latter point, there’s something new and novel worth noting. It’s the inaugural presentation of a premier autumn-time tradition in the making, looking to gain momentum as the next big thing. I’m referring to the first-ever Annual Harvest Ball.
Hosted by the Adams County Arts Council, the Harvest Ball is scheduled to take place on October 24 at Liberty Mountain Resort. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. and run until 11 p.m. The renowned Philadelphia Renaissance Orchestra will perform live throughout the evening, charming and delighting ballroom attendees as they dance the night away in regal, classic elegance.
In addition to music and dancing, the evening’s agenda offers a fantastic array of alternative entertainment options. These include optimal food and drink accompaniments, both live and silent auctions, and a host of other activities to make the night enjoyable for all partygoers.
While the up-and-coming tradition of hosting a Harvest Ball annually offers up another great autumn-time community-based festivity to take in, it also serves as the Adams County Arts Council’s newest major fundraiser. All proceeds from the event benefit ongoing support for the ACAC in its continued quest to provide Adams County residents of all ages, interests, and income levels with the highest quality arts education opportunities.
Monies raised come from ticket costs, food purchases, auctions, sponsors, and other activities presented throughout the evening. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased through the Adams County Arts Council portal.
