Established in 2008, Maryland Sled Dog Adventures is currently the only dog sledding operation in the entire state. Their founding mission has always been about bringing the love of mushing to locals of all ages and sharing opportunities to teach them about the lesser-understood sport of dog sledding. To do this, they provide a grand variation of excursions along pristine Torrey C. Brown Trail (Northern Central Railroad Trail) in Gunpowder Falls State Park.
All their featured programs and activities can be customized to a particular group or participant. Unless otherwise noted, these programs are suitable for children as young as five through adulthood.
Programs range from Boy and Girl Scouting patch opportunities to birthday parties and other celebratory events, from popular “Yappy Hour” rides to scenic dog sled tours with family, friends, or as a single participant. Tours generally run between October and March, during those colder seasons that may or may not see snow at a given time on a given outing. That’s okay, though, as the stellar Siberian Huskies leading the Maryland Sled Dog Adventures team have all been skillfully trained to take participants through all weather conditions. You’re in good paws, as they are always up to any challenge, come dry dirt terrain or snowy landscapes.

There are also many considerations regarding weight limits and restrictions to note in advance.
