Then a visit to the 2024 Snack Town Street Fair should definitely be added to the menu this Saturday, July 13. That’s when Hanover, Pennsylvania, home base to so many of York County’s savory snack factories of great renown, will once again play host to its annual Snack Town Street Fair.
For the last four years, the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce and Utz Brands have teamed up to make this exciting one-day festival in Downtown Hanover possible. Admission is free and all are welcome to come out and enjoy the myriad onsite happenings throughout the day.
Since its debut, the Snack Town Street Fair has grown to become one of the community’s most eagerly anticipated annual summertime events. This year’s offering has an expected turnout of around 12,000 visitors. More than 225 unique vendors, hailing from nine different states, are also slated to come out for the occasion. A profuse range of wares will be showcased, including handmade arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, accessories, home goods, specialty food, pet products, and so much more.
Local area businesses will also be onsite throughout the day as well. And in keeping with the idea of foodie fun and festivities, you’ll get your fill from over 20 different food trucks offering plentiful picks sure to satisfy any palate.
In addition to great food and versatile vendors, the day promises plenty of exciting activities and ongoing endeavors for all ages and interests. Kiddos will go crazy over bounce houses, face painting, and several hands-on opportunities designed just for them. A new addition this year will be a special storytime presentation at the Guthrie Memorial Library between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Don’t miss the enticing ensemble of entertainment acts that will keep the scene at the fair hopping with happiness all day long. You have local acts, like the Wyatt Becker Band and Heads or Tails Experience slated to perform along with the Hanover School of Ballet, and DJ Breeze-Mon to name a few. It’s sure to be a vibrant time indeed.
As mentioned previously, the Snack Town Street Fair is one of the most popular summertime pleasantries to pursue in Hanover. Therefore, the scene will be swarming with non-stop action, making certain driving routes temporarily less navigable throughout the day. Therefore, to avoid unnecessary congestion, designated parking spots will be located in the Ollie’s Parking Lot (at 1019 Baltimore Street) and at Tractor Supply (at 1150 Carlisle Street). Ongoing shuttle service will run from both sites every 15 minutes to take folks into the heart of the fair scene and back again.
