The 2025 installment of Harvest Ridge Winery’s Annual Food Truck Competition is happening this weekend. A beloved food-festive folly just in time for the spring season, the three-day event kicks off on the evening of Friday, April 11, and will run through the end of the day on Sunday, April 13.
As one of the Delmar region’s grandest food truck competitions, attending this tasteful enticement is an opportunity to indulge in the culinary mastery of more than 25 competing food trucks—all of which stand out in stellar acclaim throughout Delaware and Maryland. The variations in vittles are always diverse and guaranteed to cater to the likes of any self-proclaimed foodie.
Not only will you be treated to some exceptional eats, but you will also get to play an active role in voting for your favorites. And if you need something to help wash down the works with, remember that you will be onsite at the famed Harvest Ridge Winery—known for some of the very best wine and cider in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Established in 1974, Harvest Ridge Winery has always been a family-owned operation. So, it should come as no surprise to discover that this Annual Food Truck Competition is an entirely family-friendly event designed for the likes of all ages and interests to attend. There’s even a specially featured Kid Zone on the grounds, laden with diversions, activities, and iconically classic fun times to go around!
Age-appropriate entertainment will also be a big draw, with live musical performances lined up to last the weekend. Joy Ride will open the event on Friday night. Taylor Wallace and Tre Myers will perform between noon and 3 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a live DJ at the gazebo from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday will be the cool acoustic stylings King Friday all day long.
The event officially begins at 4 p.m. on April 11, remaining in full swing until 9 p.m. Doors open at noon on Saturday, April 12, although VIP ticket holders are permitted entry at 11 a.m. The evening will conclude at 6 p.m., reopening Sunday at noon and concluding at 5 p.m.
While there is sure to be plenty of ample seating, guests are permitted to bring chairs and blankets to the event. You’re also more than welcome to bring along a cooler for any leftovers you wish to take home!
