Today and tomorrow, the scene at Weber’s Cider Mill Farm in Parkville, Maryland will be one of alluring apple appeal, laden with loads of festive fall follies and farm fun for the whole family. It’s the 49th Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival—an event signifying the seasonal return of Weber’s famed Fall Harvest Days, which will run until November.
Weber’s Johnny Appleseed Festival is a great way to break into the autumnal transition. The fusion of fair-weather farm activities and the return of fall-favored endeavors culminate perfectly into the ultimate seasonal celebration.
Bring the kiddos out for a wide range of hands-on activities and happenings, all of which will be held onsite at the Barnyard. The lineup of fun follies will include both the straw maze and mini maze, hillside slides, hayrides, mining for gems, groundhog mountain, barrel train rides, duck races, visits to the Boo Barn, mingling with farm animals, Krafty Korner, Aqua Art, Face Paint by Micki, and more.
Live Bluegrass music will be performed onsite between noon and 4 p.m. and delicious treats will be available from onsite food trucks and the resident market all weekend long. The tantalizing tastes will include apple specialties, like Weber’s well-renowned fresh-pressed apple cider and donuts, and many other goodies.
The Johnny Appleseed Festival will occur between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. today, September 14, and tomorrow, September 15. The last entry into the Barnyard will be at 4 p.m. to ensure visitors have adequate time to enjoy onsite activities.
While the Johnny Appleseed Festival will be taking place this weekend only, as mentioned before it serves as a kickoff event to the Festival Harvest Days that will run for several consecutive weeks at Weber’s.
Festival Harvest Days will provide many of the same features highlighted during the Johnny Appleseed Festival. Some offerings may change on select days, but all Barnyard experiences will offer the same harvest-happy delights.
On weekdays, Weber’s Festival Harvest Days will operate between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Weekend operations will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fall Harvest Days will run through November 3. For the final day, the Barnyard will close at 5 p.m. The last admission will be at 3 p.m.

Family-owned and operated since 1908, Weber’s Cider Mill Farm has been a beloved Maryland farmer’s market destination for countless generations. While known for many onsite offerings and premium products to boot, their signature cider is the stuff of legends.
