Take your Ocean City visit to new heights, quite literally, this weekend with an elevated experience that only comes to town once a year. It’s the Air Dot Show Tour—a beloved summertime tradition grounded in feel-good patriotism, inspiration, and power.
Air shows and aerial flyover events have long served as major crowd-pleasers for well over a century. While individual presentations may vary, most share commonalities in their showcasing of stunning aerobatics, warbird planes, modern military demos, and enthralling sky-high feats. The Air Dot Show, in particular, has earned acclaim as an impeccably executed fusion of military excellence and civilian entertainment—a culmination like no other.
The 2024 installment of the Air Dot Show Tour is ongoing, continuing down the line of the six scheduled stops they plan to make and present their grand aerial spectator shows at. They will arrive on the Ocean City, Maryland front on Friday, August 23. This year’s presentation will feature the Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori, F-22 Raptor Demo Team, EA-18G Growler Team, A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, Air Force C-17 Globemaster III Demo Team, West Point Parachute Team, the U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight program, Navy Legacy Flight featured E/A-18 Growlers and an F4U Corsair, “Ponchito” the B-25 Bomber, and Buck Roetman.
The first order of business will be the Air Show Performer Party at Ocean Downs Casino in Berlin from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the evening of Friday, August 23. A free event, here is your chance to meet the renowned pilots of the Italian Frecce Tricolori and enjoy a staged show landing by the West Point Parachute Team within the limits of the racetrack. The weekend is when the real shows will be though. The schedules for both Saturday, August 24, and August 25 will be generally the same, allowing spectators two days to catch all the same spectacular sights in amazing aerial antics. Per the slated agenda, showtime starts at 11:30 a.m. with the opening ceremonies offered during the first half hour. Flight performance events will commence at noon and run through 2:30 p.m. These will include Daredevil Aerobatics, Formation Flying, Parachute Team Jumps, and their special “Other Stuff You Don’t See Airplanes Do Except at an Air Show!” presentation.
Headliner Performances will follow from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team and the Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori.
You can expect to see and hear the Air Dot Show wherever you are in Ocean City. But if you happen to be between 6th Street and 26th Street you’ll be directly in the heart of all the action. Ticketed viewing areas for spectators will be located at the Show’s center, on the beachside between 13th Street and 17th Street.

Situated within a premium seating and viewing spot onsite of the Quality Inn Boardwalk location, VIP spectators get to enjoy a host of additional amenities that come as part of the package, including a catered lunch, drinks, and more. An even more excellent elite elevation to take in is the VIP Penthouse option, also located at the Quality Inn Boardwalk. Booking the VIP Penthouse comes at the pricey premium of $499, however. Boaters take note, you may also view the Air Dot Show from certain on-water locations throughout Ocean City as well. These areas are limited to the eastern perimeter of the United States Coast Guard Safety Zone and extend 12,000 feet parallel to the flight path of performing aircraft. The depth is between 30 and 35 feet along the eastern perimeter.
