Spring has finally sprung at Fields of Adventure in Aspers, Pennsylvania. Kicking off the grand occasion is the first of their multi-weekend celebration Spring on the Farm, which begins this Saturday.
While they technically opened last week for their ticketed Breakfast with the Bunny event on the Friday and Saturday before Easter, Spring on the Farm is the true marker for the farm’s seasonal spring reopening. Come out between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on April 6 and 13 and/or on April 7, 14, and 21 between noon and 6 p.m. to experience a wide range of outdoor fun and follies happening onsite. The event’s anchoring focus will be on the farm’s newborn baby animal population and the vibrant tulips that are now in bloom and gracing the fields in abundance. Visitors can even engage in U-pick flower options or purchase pre-picked bouquets, if they so choose.
In addition to floral follies and fun interactions with baby animals, visitors to Fields of Adventure can enjoy a host of other activities and endeavors. Highlights include rubber duck races, fun photo ops, slides, swings, playing in the tire sand pit and corn box, tug-of-war, bubble bins, bin ball, tetherball, giant checkers, pedal karts & trikes, hillbilly drums, animal spring riders, rooster rollers, the goat walk, and so much more.
Spring on the Farm is just one of many upcoming farm events taking place this spring on location. Additionally, Fields of Adventure is known to host special Homeschool Day offerings, with the next one taking place on April 16 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. As an event geared specifically toward homeschool groups and their families, this springtime special promises a day of learning about tulips, enjoying farm-fresh popcorn/kettle corn, and loads of interactive fun and activities. Do take note that this is a ticketed offering and reservations must be made in advance to attend.
Another exciting opportunity designed for the grown-ups specifically is Cocktails & Cottontails. Scheduled for April 20, Cocktails & Cottontails is essentially an adult Easter Egg hunt and dinner combo package on the farm grounds. This event is made possible in partnership with Reid’s Winery & Cider House, located in nearby Gettysburg. In addition to possibly earning more than $1,000 in prizes via the egg hunt, attending guests will be treated to a dinner of smoked chicken and accompaniments that include a baked potato, green beans, nonalcoholic drinks, dessert, and then one alcoholic drink. Live music will be provided by Russian Collusion. Again, this is a ticketed event that calls for reservations to be made in advance.
Fields of Adventure remains open and in full operation throughout the summer as a premier family-friendly destination to come out and explore in the greater Adams County area. An elaborate host of attractions and fascinating site features are always included with admission to the farm.
